Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to: Review the pathophysiology and incidence of stroke/thromboembolism in patient with heart failure with severely depressed LVEF. To review the guidelines for use of antiplatelet and anticoagulant therapy for stroke prophylaxis. To review the evidence behind the use of antiplatelet and anticoagulant therapy for stroke prevention in HF patients with severely depressed LVEF.
