Education at OU Health Sciences

OU Health Sciences' academic strategic plan builds upon the expertise and strategic aims of our health professions and biomedical sciences academic programs to offer Health Sciences students a distinctive learning experience only available at Oklahoma’s only comprehensive academic health center.  Academic faculty and staff engage with learners as teachers and as mentors. Health Sciences faculty invest in developing skills for best practice in six areas of core mentoring recommended by the National Institutes of Health. As innovators and leaders in team-based health care, team science, and evidence-based clinical care that includes the patient as a member of the health care team, OU Health Sciences developed and continues to grow interdisciplinary and interprofessional learning opportunities for Health Sciences students. OU Health Sciences continues to grow its ranks of top researchers who also teach and mentor undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate trainees for careers in biosciences. We are proud to say that every OU Health Sciences graduate enters a field that contributes to the future well-being of people living in Oklahoma and across the Nation.
