Immigration Regulations Update – January 5, 2004
Please make sure that you always give your current local address and correct email to the Office of Admissions and Records. INS and OUHSC require your correct local address in order to inform you about changes in laws, events, etc.
Overview of INS
INS officers at the airports will no longer need to take the student's I-20 and mail it to the school. All ports of entry should have access to SEVIS in the early part of 2003. We will be notified electronically on SEVIS when a student enters the U.S.
All current students and those on Optional Practical Training must receive a new SEVIS I-20 by August 1, 2003. If you are temporarily leaving the country prior to August 1, 2003, make an appointment to see the Immigration Advisor for your I-20 and other recommended travel documents.
