The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center African American Student Association will present the 2014 Martin L. King, Jr. Celebration on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Noon in the David L. Boren Student Union.
A Silent March will be held at 11:45 a.m. starting from the Thelma Gaylord Memorial Clock Tower to the David L. Boren Student Union. Please join the campus community for this event.
The 2014 speaker will be Chelle Luper-Wilson, the daughter of the Late Civil Rights Activist Clara Luper. In addition the MLK Gospel Choir consisting of students, staff, faculty, Oklahoma Health Center supporters and friends of the University will perform for the eighth year. Once again the choir will be under the direction of Dennis Scott.
