WHAT WE DO
The University of Oklahoma Prevention Research Center (OUPRC) is one of 33 Prevention Research Centers funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The OUPRC's primary focus is to study the obesity epidemic as it affects public school children and adolescents and to study the impact of interventions developed with schools, particularly in the area of physical activity.
The OUPRC plans to work in partnership with more public schools, American Indian tribes and communities in Oklahoma to address this public health challenge.
