Medulloblastoma: Homer Wright rosettes have fibrillary cytoplasmic processes pointing to an imaginary center (C). In contrast to the pseudo rosettes in ependymoma, there is no blood vessels at the center.

Retinoblastoma: In contrast, Flexner-Wintersteiner rosettes in retinoblastomas have limiting membrane and the cells for a well-formed tubule at the center of the rosette. Again, no blood vessels are present at the center of the rosettes.
