COVID Community Education Coordinator
Miranda Hooper (she/her) has been working with people who have developmental disabilities and their families for over ten years. She currently works as the COVID Community Education Coordinator at the Center for Learning and Leadership. Miranda is an OKLEND Fellow, a Partners in Policymaking graduate, and most importantly, a parent advocate. She is also a freelance writer focusing on topics related to disabilities and advocacy. In the past, Miranda has volunteered as a Chapter Advisor for Oklahoma People First, sat on the Oklahoma PTA Special Education Committee, and is currently the chair for the Cleveland County disABILITY Coalition and sits on the City of Norman’s ADA Advisory Committee. When she isn’t working, you can find Miranda with her family and friends hiking at a state or national park, hitting the road for a geocaching adventure, collecting old psychology books, or testing her knowledge with her trivia team.
