Megan Roberts, PT, DSc
Clinical Associate Professor, Director Oklahoma LEND
What is your role with the CLL | UCEDD?
Partner and collaborator.
Why did you decide to work in the field of Disability?
In high school, one of my closest friends had an accident that left her with a high level, complete spinal cord injury. Because of my experiences navigating life with her, I have always been interested in improving community inclusion and advocating for accessibility and opportunity for all.
How does your perspective inform your work?
My history in working as a school-based service provider has given me a broad perspective of disability as it relates to home, community, education, and employment.
When you are not working, how do you relax and practice self-care?
I enjoy being outside in nature. I can be gardening, hiking, rowing, sitting, really anything that takes me outside.
What is a motto or saying that motivates or inspires you?
"It always seems impossible until it’s done." – Nelson Mandela
