Why did you decide to work in the field of Disability?
Developmental disorders can significantly and negatively impact individuals and families. Working with the CLL provides the opportunity to contribute to efforts designed to reduce the challenges in living for community members and families.
How does your perspective inform your work?
The CLL's mission, vision, and goals inform my work by maintaining a mindset of partnership with individuals and families who live with developmental disabilities. It also motivates me to facilitate the training opportunities for Master of Social Work Students seeking practicum experience with the CLL.
When you are not working, how do you relax and practice self-care?
Exercise, mindful practices, gratitude, and time with family.
What is a motto or saying that motivates or inspires you?
Fall down, get up, keep moving.
