Interactions with Autism Spectrum Disorder

As a law enforcement officer, you expect to give commands and ask questions and receive immediate responses. The population with autism spectrum disorder may not be able to respond immediately because of cognitive, physical, or other issues. With this course, you will obtain knowledge about autism spectrum disorder and ways to handle contacts.  What is autism spectrum disorder, recognizing autism spectrum disorder, de-escalation techniques,  tantrums vs. meltdowns, interviewing, and more.
