The Journal Record’s annual Health Care Heroes awards recognize individuals who go above and beyond to make Oklahoma a healthier, safer, and happier place to live and work. This year’s honorees include Megan Roberts, PT, D.Sc., M.S., Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Campus and Director of Oklahoma LEND. Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) is an interdisciplinary program that prepares future medical and service providers as well as family and self-advocates in disability-related fields. Dr. Roberts' leadership has earned her significant recognition, including the OUHSC Interprofessional Educators and Practitioners Association Outstanding Leader of the Year award in 2024 and Interprofessional Team of the Year in 2025. Through her dedication to interprofessional collaboration and disability-focused training, Megan continues to make a lasting impact on Oklahoma’s health care workforce and the communities it serves.
