Potential Funding Changes for Pervasive Parenting Center in Leflore County

The Pervasive Parenting Center (PPC) in Leflore County has announced that its funding from the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs, may not renew at the end of August 2025. While final decisions are still pending, this may result in changes to the services PPC can provide beginning in September. For over ten years, the organization has provided crucial services for families in Eastern Oklahoma including support, training, and advocacy to navigate special education services under IDEA and connect to resources for individuals with disabilities. PPC affirms that its dedication to families of children with disabilities will remain steadfast, but funding is essential for programs to continue.
